Post demolition of the mosque in 1994, the Supreme Court Of India says, ‘The destruction of Babri Masjid, is a community shame and a matter of surprise to the constitution readers. The apex court also said, ‘The 500 years old mosque demolished which should be protected by the state government.’

On 30th September 2020, after 28 years, the special CBI court acquitted all 32 accused of this destruction including Former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, and BJP leaders MM Joshi and Uma Bharti, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh.

Justice Surendra Kumar Yadav in his judgment said the following points:

  • Babri masjid demolition was not a preplanned
  • No sufficient evidence
  • CBI’s collected CDs, tapes, videos do not reflect the authenticity
  • Those who climbed on the dome, they are the anti-social elements
  • The audios of the hate speeches are not clear

The people who are liberal and are of a secular mindset felt emotional and sentimental hurts after listening to this judgment. A 3000 group of mobs gather at a palace and incite the violence. Where were the administrations? Who is responsible for the massive riots which took the lives of thousands of innocent Muslims? Isn’t the chief minister Kalyan Singh is responsible for this violence? There are hundreds of crystal clear evidence available on YouTubes and with the incident reporting journalists that are enough to deliver an honest judgment.

Role of L.K. Advani in Babri Masjid Demolition

According to the CBI charge sheets, Advani was also present at a secret meeting on December 5, 1992, at Vinay Katiyar’s home where the final decision to demolish the mosque was taken. He has been named by the CBI as a conspirator in the criminal case of the demolition of Babri masjid.
It is the same person awarded by the highest civilian award in BJP ruled government.

Role of Kalyan Singh in Babri Masjid Demolition

Another important accused in the case is Kalyan Singh, the chief minister of UP at the time of the demolition. Notably, it was his government which in an affidavit filed on November 27, 1992, before the Supreme Court, had assured the court that his government was “fully competent to prevent the violation of the court’s order and [that] the assistance of force offered by the Central government is not necessary for the present circumstances.”

The media persons who were reporting the incident live on the spot said, the slogans were quite provocative while Babri Masjid demolition. Few slogans were “Ye Andar Ki Baat hai, Police Hamare Saath hai”, Tel Lagao Dabur ka, Naam Mitao Babar ka”, Ek Dhakka Aur Do, Babri Masjid tod Do”.

After the demolition of this Babri Masjid, these accused distributed sweets and expressed the enthusiastic expression of their happiness cum achievement.

However, after keeping the things aside again a question arises, WHO DEMOLISHED THE MOSQUE? IS IT AN ACT OF GOD? DID THE MOSQUE DEMOLISH BY EARTHQUAKE? WHAT ABOUT THE EVIDENCE AVAILABLE IN HD QUALITY ON SOCIAL SITES? WHAT ABOUT THE JOURNALISTS WHO REPORTED THE INCIDENT ON THE DAY OF DEMOLITION?

This judgment clearly shows the ambiguous and biased form of justice and if justice continues like this then it will not be a justice more. The people will not have faith in the judiciary. The doubts originate when CJI Ranjan Gogoi joins BJP as a member of parliament after the Ayodhaya land judgment. Now it is being felt, the judiciary isn’t an independent body and somehow the ruling party interferes being opaque.
